Artist and Painter
Vickie Green was born in Memphis Tennessee.
Vickie Green has had a life-long passion for creating art. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Art with the emphasis on Interior Design/Environmental Design at California State University Fullerton. She possesses knowledge and skills in a diverse of artistic forms. Vickie draws and paints in a variety of mediums. Professionally she has worked as an Interior Designer.
Ten years ago, she began taking painting classes taught by Artist Jack Knight. Green has focused many of her paintings on simple things found in nature. She has always had a fascination for trees and flowers. Vickie Green reveals her ability to achieve harmony through light, shadow and color values.
Vickie Green also has a passion for painting animals. In her previous exhibit at the Orange County Museum of Art she selected to show a painting of her cats (on a flame torched piece of copper), her beloved Molly the house cat, and a hawk on the fountain in her backyard. Vickie Green has participated in Arts and Community,“ACE” Anaheim Art Crawl Experience, the Orange County Fair, the Kaleidoscope Art Gallery and Mission Viejo Fine Arts Gallery.
Shows and Exhibits
Vickie Green has an upcoming solo exhibit will be at the Center Gallery in Anaheim California starting November 15 2021 through December 30th 2021, titled “Simple Pleasures”.
Currently on display at the Parkway Gallery in Mission Viejo is a Tribute Painting to honor health care workers on the frontline during Covid 2020 titled “The Red Rose” 33”x 66”. Another Tribute painting is on display at the Norman P. Murray Center in Mission Viejotitled ” Relentless. Painted in 2020 and titled “Justin Doc D, it is acrylic on canvas and is 36”x48”. The Muzeo Arts and Cultural Center is displaying a Tribute painting that is 30x40 and is titled “Kites” Holding on in a storm 2020”
